Secretariat

The General Secretary manages the secretariat and is responsible for the day to day operations and management of the association including:

1) Arrange the agendas, meeting venues & minutes, of all meetings of the council and council committees.
2) Maintain the membership records of the organisation.
3) Maintain the books of account and report on the accounts of the organisation.
4) Do central arrangements of the annual convention or technical meetings.
5) Invest and report on investments of the association.
6) Publish and distribute the AMEU News
8) Archive the record of the association.
9) Serve as central office and official address of the association.
10) Process all mail, e-mail and fax communications of the association.
11) Perform constitutional and statutory secretarial work.
12) Complete all statutory tax returns of the association.
13) Maintain and host the website of the association.
14) Serve as central call-centre of the association.
15) Register delegates for annual meetings.
16) Serve as treasury for the association.
17) Process and publish papers presented at annual events.
18) Publish the AMEU Proceedings.
19) Provide technical support to members.
29) Perform any duties that the Council may from time to time order.
