The national secretariat of the AMEU is based in Bryanston, Johannesburg, and provides a range of support services to the organisation. The reach of the national secretariat is extended by regional office bearers and administrators as well as by dedicated staff dealing with industry technical matters. The secretariat is managed by the general secretary of the association.
